An interesting tin glazed stoneware sauce boat of Whieldon type, possibly made at Cockpit Hill, elaborately moulded with the "pineapple in basket" pattern, said to have eminated from a design by William Greatbatch. Dates to c1758. Cross strap handles with flower terminals,
leaf moulded spout and border.
Unmarked. Firing fault in the shape of a small indent close to the spout and a few minor nibbles to the rim.
