Stunning Derby lozenge-shaped dessert dish in Plate Pattern 327, missing from the Derby Pattern Books.  Glorious central bouquet of summer flowers, including roses, very much in the style of Wiliam Billingsley.  Possibly by Edward Withers or William "Quaker" Pegg (first period).
The bouquet is surrounded by a highly decorative border pattern of gilt and red diamonds, the red diamonds gilded with leaves and berries in amongst gilt hatching and seaweed decoration.
Dates to c1796 and in excellent condition other than some loss of gilding around the rim and to the innermost gilt band.
