A stunning Derby plate from the early Bloor period, dating to c1820.

The plate is beautifully decorated with scale pink panels, enhanced with gilding.  Unusual for Derby, the rim of the plate is pierced, this is also picked out with gilding.  The central flower painting is breathtaking - this is the fine work of one of Derby long serving painters, Leonard Lead.

Marked with the early Bloor Derby mark of two concentric circles with "Bloor Derby" which was transferred onto the porcelain by the thumb.

In excellent condition throughout.
