A fine Derby blue and white sauce boat in a pattern rarely seen on Derby porcelain, it more often seen on Worcester and Lowestoft.
Dates to circa 1765-70, the body with moulded scrolling cartouches, underglaze printed in the Fisherman and Billboard Island pattern, the interior decorated with floral sprays, cell border. Measures 20.5cm.
No factory markings. Repaired small chip to the outside of the rim, which could be improved. Firing crack to underside of handle.
