Derby tea bowl, coffee cup and saucer in Tea Pattern 44.  Smith's blue band at the rim, over-decorated with gilding and raised white enamel "beads" to give a very elegant effect.
Scattered gilt sprigs and further narrow blue band to the centre of the saucer and around the bases of the tea bowl and cup, with intertwining foliate gilding.  Hamilton fluting to all three pieces.
Factory mark and pattern number N44 in puce to each piece.  Gilder's number 5 for John Yates on the saucer and tea bowl, and gilder's number 4 for William Yates on the cup.
Excellent condition throughout.
