A fine Derby plate with hand painted landscape titled "View in Italy" by Daniel Lucas, c1810. The rim richly decorated with gilding.

The landscape features a couple viewing beside a pretty waterfall and lake, with aqueduct and mountains in the distance.

Factory mark in red. Some light utensil marks, otherwise excellent condition.
