A fine, early Derby small plate with pierced rim, dating to c1760.

The plate is moulded with vine leaves to the centre, picked out in turquoise green upon which are hand painted flowers by the "Cotton Stem Painter."

In addition to the pierced rim, there are raised florets of bright yellow with red centres.

The plate measures 7 inches in diameter and is unmarked. There has apparently been restoration to the rim, but this is very difficult to detect. There is one remaining faint hairline.
