A superb early 19th century Derby plate with hand painted view of "On the River Arnos, Italy" by George Robertson. The tree in the foreground demonstrating his love of using autumnal colours. The landscape is enhanced by fabulous gilt work around the rim. Dates to c1800.

Factory mark in red. Gilder's number 2 in red and black 39 at the footrim.

Very good condition. No wear to gilding.
