A beautiful Derby porcelain teapot in cobalt blue, with fine landscapes and rich honey gilding, dating to c1810.
The views are named on the base, "View in Switzerland" and "View in Holland" and are the work of Daniel Lucas, an accomplished artist.
The landscapes are surrounded by arabesque gilding and there is further gilding to the lid.  The teapot stands on four bun feet and has a mock "rivetted" handle.
Factory mark and titles in red.  A little crazing on the handle and some very professional restoration to the spout tip.  (Very difficult to detect).  Gilder's number 44 to the base.
