A beautiful Derby tea cup and saucer, decorated with panels of hand painted flowers and featuring gilded swags hanging from pendant hooks.
The saucer is a later date, factory mark in red, whereas the tea cup is marked in puce.  This must have been a much loved set to have gone to the expense of having a replacement saucer made!
The saucer carries the gilder's number 9.  There is a slight hairline to the saucer, close to the footrim, which does not come through to the upper side, otherwise excellent condition.
