A beautiful Derby porcelain plate, decorated with a botanical study of a Cabbage Rose, the work of one of Derby's most sought after artists, William Quaker Pegg.  The plate dates to c1810.

 

Marked with crown, crossed batons, dots and D in red.  Plant name in red script.

 

Condition:  In excellent condition, save for a tight hairline at the rim.  This affects the rim only and does not extend into the well of the plate or affect the painting in any way.
