Fine Derby spiral fluted tea bowl and saucer in Tea Pattern 61, dating to c1790. Gilt dentil rim with bands of gilt either side of a wide band of Smith's Blue, upon which is decorated pairs of leaves, alternating with attractive raised enamel "beads."
Leafy gilded garland, hanging from gilt loops and with further central delicate Smith's Blue band with intertwining leaves.
Factory mark and pattern number, N61, in puce. Gilder's number 4 for William Yates. Small amount of wear to gilt garland around tea bowl, saucer excellent.
