A stunning Derby plate in rarely seen Plate Pattern 151, with fabulous central hand painted bouquet by Derby's premier artist, William Billingsley.  Salmon ground and gilding at the rim, the bouquet arractively edged with gilt circles.  Dates to c1795.
Ex Albert and Rose Laine Collection and also previously part of the Lucas Derby Collection.
Factory mark in puce, with gilder's number 2 (John Stables) at the footrim.  Gilded over firing fault to underside of rim.  Slight utensil marks to central bouquet, and some loss of gilding.
