A superb example of John Brewer's finesse as a painter of landscapes on Derby porcelain.  "Near Loughborough."
The fine hand painted landscape is enhanced with a gilded and patterned border with further gilding around the attractive turquoise rim.
As can be seen, the plate has suffered some damage in the shape of a t-shaped crack at the rim.  This could be restored if required, but I have not done so myself, having found it of immense use as a reference piece.
