A Derby porcelain plate from the Chelsea Derby period from the Duke of Northumberland service, dating to c1785.
The plate has a stunning "oeil de perdrix" border - peacock blue ground featuring gold and white "eyes", each surrounded by the most detailed  gilded reserve comprising tiny leaves.
The roses, scattered around the plate are the work of much respected artist, Edward Withers.
Marked with gold anchors to base and with gold script N.  No damage, but loss of gilding around the rim only, and wear to the enamels which affects two of the pink roses.
