A collection of three 18th century Derby cups, dating from 1770-1790.
Cup A - a coffee cup with acanthus leaf moulding, plain gilt band around base and below rim. Small gilt sprig inside base.
Cup B - decorated with "pearls" in Tea Pattern 135. Marked in puce, gilder's number 16 and impressed "O". Good condition but small chip where the very base of the handle meets the body of the cup. (Hardly noticeable).
Cup C - Tea Pattern 19. Decorated in Smith's blue, enhanced with gilding and unusual moulded of swags to the upper part of the cup and sunflower moulding to the lower part. Small gilt sprig inside base of cup. A little kiln dust near the base, but otherwise excellent. Gilder's number 2 for Joseph Stables.
