A beautiful Chelsea plate from the red anchor period, dating to c1755.
The plate is decorated with superbly painted fancy birds in landscapes around the rim, with fabulous flower painting to the well of the plate in "Deutche Blumen" style.
Marked with a red anchor over the numeral "21" also in red.  Foot rim, which is partially ground, has a gilt band.  A little loss of gilding around the rim, otherwise excellent condition.
