A fine Chelsea Derby mug, c1780. Decorated with a large hand painted bouquet of flowers to one side and with a smaller bouquet to the other, and featuring the monogram "JB" in gold.
The mug has raised moulded bands top and bottom.  Gilt dentil rim.
Faintly marked with crown over D in blue.  The base having been ground down, so that very little glaze remains.  
Some wear to the gilding on the handle and to the dentil rim.  Tiny fleabite chip to rim.
Measures approximately 9 cm tall.
