A beautiful Chelsea Derby plate, dating to c1770.
The plate is decorated with gold dentil edging around the lobed rim, along with a Smith's blue band, enhanced with gilt sprigs and puce swags. 
There is a central bouquet surrounded by a blue and gilt circles and further scattered sprays, the flowers being the work of renowned Derby artist, Edward Withers.
Marked with crown over D in blue and in very good condition.
