Very pretty Derby cup and saucer, decorated in a scarcely seen pattern of blue cornflower buds and gold stars, c1790.  Derby Tea Pattern 270.
Factory mark in puce, including pattern number.  Very good condition.
Gilder's number 8 for William Longden to the cup and impressed 5.  Saucer has a little loss of gilding here and there, but this does not detract.  Gilder's "V" for John Yates to the footrim and impressed B.
